Picture taken from a permissive path which runs from Moors Lane to High Street. At the beginning of the path there is a map which marks the field in the centre of this picture as being a medeival working. But it does not specify what sort of working. This whole valley has clearly been greatly changed by human activity at some time or other. There are areas which have been pits and what look to be spoil heaps. But now it is just left to the sheep and has become a very attractive part of the Lincolnshire Wolds.
