Clearly this minor lane suffered serious damage during the winter of 2010/11, judging by the evidence of recent resurfacing here. Local authorities are often (and rightly) criticised for their failure to repair potholes - but one can't help but have sympathy for rural authorities faced with the cost of work such as this across an extensive network of little-used country lanes.
