This lane was formerly used as a connection between Gatton Bottom and High Road, and when the M25 was built, an underpass (reached by sharp bends at both ends) was provided; but Crossways Lane fell out of use by motor vehicles, and became overgrown, so that I doubt whether anyone would try to take a car down there now. At the top end, (shown) Crossways Lane forms a staggered crossroads with Blackhorse Lane, (to the left), Babylon Lane (forward), and High Road (right).
