Driving along the A6 several times recently I had admired the winter sunsets but this time actually stopped to photograph the scene. A strong wind was disturbing the water but a nearby 'reef' has created enough calm to reflect the deeper colours from the overhead clouds. Due to the wet summer and autumn the fields around the A6 here are very wet and water has been standing in some of them for weeks at a time. Just south of here is a field used for regular car boot sales and these have been disrupted recently due to waterlogged conditions.
