Loughborough Meadows, Leicestershire

River Soar near Stanford

Uploader's Comments

This reach of the river is part of the realigned course resulting from the construction of the Great Central Railway. The fields to the left are part of Loughborough Big Meadow, still farmed traditionally with Lammas rights http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Common_land#Lammas_rights and designated as Open Access Land.
