Longknowe Hill and Kilham Hill are on the left. Staw Hill and Mid Hill extend the ridge to the north-east. Many prehistoric settlements pepper this area and there are clear signs of agricultural activity, including the narrow Iron Age ploughing known as 'cord rig' although above 300m in height.
