I discovered that Logmore Green is actually a tiny village spread along this track and ending in a field, so this would be a genuine direction sign made between 1957 and 1964, as the capital G was changed then and then replaced by the Worboys system. The chevron at the end was added later as for unknown reasons there is no black border or terminal arrow despite the rest of the design being the official one. I have seen rare deviations so know they didn't always stick to the exact system, but technically this ought to still count as pre-Worboys as nothing was changed, but left out altogether.
