Approaching this point from the north-east, on the way to Carn Breugach, I had about 0.75km of intensely difficult heathery ground to negotiate. I was very relieved to reach this spot, from which the summit was relatively easy. A slightly different return gave me a much easier descent, but it was a route which would be tricky to find in ascent unless you already knew it.
