This zoomed shot tries to capture the further invasion of grass/reeds. Comparison of the satellite and mapped versions of the lochan indicate lowering water levels or aggressive land encroachment which I instantly put down to this snowless winter - hence less meltwater - until I realised how out of date the satellite images are. They do not even show the Glen Doe Reservoir! I suppose lochans silt up by their very existence in a peat bog.
