Part of one of the recently-built 'run of river' hydro schemes on the Corrour Estate, this is described as the 33KV Youth Hostel Substation. The estate have attempted to minimise the visual impact of the hydro schemes on the landscape by using local materials and vernacular style for the construction, plus extensive landscaping and burying of infrastructure.
