View northward from the B4396 bridge, towards Oswestry and Whitchurch: ex-Cambrian Railways main line Whitchurch - Oswestry - Buttington - Welshpool - Machynlleth etc., closed Whitchurch - Buttington 18/1/65. In the opposite direction is now the Cambrian Heritage Railway's Llynclys South station, opened 2005 with track to Penygarreg.
