Lamachan Hill, Carlisle

Angular boulders on Lamachan Hill

Uploader's Comments

The image was recorded from the meeting of two boundary lines - fence post and wall - at the summit area of Lamachan Hill. There seems to be doubt about the location of the highest point of the hill. OS mapping at its higher scales records a 717 m. point at the camera position, yet at the 1:50 000 scale there's a 717 m. spot height to the north, in another grid square. 'Hillbagging', considered by many to be the source of best data on the subject, considers the 717 m. location to be somewhere between those two positions!
