There is a footpath here although after weeks of rain it is hard to tell. This is the footpath which leads from Chapel Lane, near Golford, through Birch Wood and across Crane Brook into the village of Sissinghurst. This is the part through Birch Wood, although the Crane Brook has swamped the woodland and covered the footbridge ahead. Wellington boots were definitely a necessity.
