Lackmore Wood, Oxfordshire

Wartime Relic in the Woods

Uploader's Comments

This is a slit trench and is a remnant of a WW2 supply depot and maintenance unit known as RAF Woodcote. This operated between 1941 and 1959. Most of the buildings were subsequently demolished but a few derelict Nissen huts survive, along with old concrete tracks and hard standing areas, and things like this.
