An estate road( from which the image was recorded) runs along Soulgill Edge. According to OS mapping at the 1:25 000 scale Soul Gill runs in the nearer valley and Pindhill Sike in the farther one with the two coming together to form Soulgill Beck just out of view in the photograph. Mapping at 1:50 000 records names differently having the nearer stream as Soulgill Beck even as it enters the scene.
