I found a small colony of this species in Hound Wood, apparently restricted to an area of a small fraction of an acre. All the individuals I saw seemed somewhat faded, as would be expected in late May. This one had lost a wedge-shaped portion of its right hind wing - perhaps having narrowly escaped capture by a bird.
