This is where the road from Arkesden to Wendens Ambo starts its descent into the valley of an unnamed tributary of the Cam. There has been little or no rain since early February, so the south-facing fields in the distance are dry. They are seen closer to in [[[3889747]]]. In the distance on the extreme left is the line of trees which marks the footpath to Littlebury Green which I had walked to three-quarters of an hour later: [[[3889718]]].
