On the east wall of the north aisle. St Michael's church > http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1920312 - http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/5535866 dates from the early 14th century and was refurbished by the Victorians in the mid 1800s. The chancel > http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/5535871 and its arch as well as the rood screen > http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/5535870 date from that time and not all of the medieval benches have survived either, although some of the old bench ends > http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/5535892 and poppy heads > http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/5535881 were re-used on the new stalls. The bowl of the baptismal font > http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/5535849 is also Victorian but the shaft > http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/5535854 it rests on is medieval and depicts saints, archangels and Mary holding baby Jesus (all defaced in the 16th century but since restored).
