Metal plate attached to stone post by the A35, in parish of BERE REGIS (PURBECK District), Half way up the hill leaving Bere Regis; 110m W quarry entrance, 1m back from road in hedge by rough on grass verge, on South side of road. Dorset 2 (iron plated) Erected by the Puddletown & Wimborne turnpike trust in the 19th century.
