Hellia, Shetland Islands

Three birds on a rock at Hellia, Seafield, Lerwick

Uploader's Comments

From left to right, a Rock Pipit (Anthus petrosus), a Knot (Calidris canutus) and a Redshank (Tringa totanus). The first and last species can be seen in Shetland all year round, but Knot is mainly a migrant, although small numbers winter.
