I took this shot from a knoll on Stoborough Heath, just west of the Soldiers' Road. The grassy verge of the road can be seen just beyond the gorse bushes in the foreground. The area beyond the road is part of Hartland Moor National Nature Reserve. The higher ground has a covering of heather, while the lower-lying areas - pale brown in this view - are distinctly boggy.
