Harestone Moss, Aberdeenshire

The old manse, Shiels

Uploader's Comments

The manse was built in 1784 to serve the primitive anti-Burgher church seen just to the left in the picture. Both were soon superseded by a more commodious kirk and a new manse just a couple of hundred metres to the east (see: http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/5568864 ). The manse is B-listed (LB2784): http://portal.historicenvironment.scot/designation/LB2784
