Halftide Rock, Carlisle

Witchwife's Haven

Uploader's Comments

This Bay is known today as Flint Bay, because of the large number of flint stones on the beach. It is sometimes said that they were part of the cargo of a wrecked ship. The old name sounds better. The bay is a good anchorage for small vessels when the wind is from the north east.
