This unclassified minor road between Woodlea and Blackdykes cuts through a mile-long woodland shelter-belt. The woodland to the east of this road (L in this picture) is named on the O.S 1:25,000 map as Halfland Strip, whilst the woodland to the west of the road (R in this picture) is named Blackdykes Strip.
