Amid the isolation of the less frequented countryside in South Lincolnshire is the hamlet of Haceby, near Bourne, once a tiny farming community but now a deserted village with a 13th century church dedicated to both St Margaret and St Barbara but redundant since 1973 and although designated as a Grade I listed building, its upkeep is now dependent on the Churches Conservation Trust.
