This is a lovely picturesque church on an acclivity quite close to the road. There is no tower and no porch yet it is so delightful. Although it was almost completely rebuilt n the Victorian era t was faithfully copied from the original and many of the ancient Saxon features can still be found here and there. A narrow slit window, now filled, for instance and the north-east buttress shows remnants of Saxon work. Although the roof-line is continuous there is a grand chancel arch and a lovely Decorated east window in clear leaded glass. The 14th c. font may at one time have been square with the corners now removed to an irregular octagon. The benches have pierced backs with poppyheads on the aisle end. Close to the simple piscina and sedilia is a consecration cross. A Jacobean pulpit completes the scene.
