West of the abbey ruins is a wide flat flood plain between the Afon Teifi and another substantial stream, Glasffrwd, which meet at SN73846607. Another stream enters from the hills in the south, crossing Glasffrwd and passing by the abbey ruins and meeting the Teifi at SN74566585. Surely, the monks had something to do with that.
