Viewed from the slopes of Beinn nan Dubh-lochan above the cliffs of Minginish, with South Uist - some 30 miles away - clear on the horizon. The prominent peaks on Uist are Thacla in grid square [[NF8234]] and Beinn Mhor in [[NF8031]].
