http://www.scottishchurches.org.uk/sites/site/id/1194/name/Meathie+Church%2C+Inverarity+Inverarity+Tayside describes this as "A pre-Reformation church was located on a hillside close to Easter Meathie Farm, in what is now a large forestry plantation. The church was dedicated in 1243 and was the parish church of the old parish of Meathie-Lour until 1667, after which it became ruinous. Part of the north wall is said to have been partially rebuilt in the late 17th century to house a memorial".
