Towards the eastern end of Marsh Lane is the footpath junction ahead (finger-post can be seen). Marsh Lane and the footpath to the left leading eventually to Pitsea,now provide a section of the new Thames Estuary Path. The path south leading to Fobbing Village via the marsh looked impassible due to overgrowth, but I didn't investigate closely.
