Loch Odhar lies in a moorland bowl between Meall Odhar and Meall Coire an Lochain. Together with the farther water (which is actually a separate body), the unusually shaped loch almost surrounds the central moorland dome - some enthusiastic digging could perhaps convert that dome into an island!
