Fash Cleuch, Carlisle

Fash Cleuch and Long Grain

Uploader's Comments

Fash Cleuch descends from Glenrath Heights on the right, joining the burn of Long Grain. 'Fash' in Scots signifies trouble or annoyance, so maybe there's an old tale behind the name. 'Grain' is a common name in the Borders for the branch of a hill burn.
