I took this photo prior to my Christmas Day lunch at the Golden Galleon. It shows the River Cuckmere in the foreground and extensive floods on the water meadows in the distance. The levee is usually a barrier to flooding but in these conditions it acts as a barrier and prevents water draining into the river.
