The Rock of St Skeoch or St Skae is more usually known by its descriptive name of the Elephant Rock. The former Chapel of St Skae stood at the landward end of the Rock of St Skae together with the burial ground of St Skae. Three ancient Christian crosses cut into the building stones serve as reminders of its religious function. The small graveyard, which is still occasionally used, can be seen in the photo.
