Having paddled from Loch Sween, and circumnavigated Eilean Mor, passing close to [[[2266207]]], we paddled in to the anchorage and waited on the island during the peak flow of the flood tide. This was no great trial, as there is lots to see on the island, and we eventually sauntered back across the grass and flag iris to reach the boats. In this view they are tied up by the little landing stage next to the turf-roofed bothy, which proved a very awkward place to disembark. To get back on the water without risking a plunge, we towed the boats to the weedy rocks in the foreground where launching was not so difficult at the higher state of the tide as landing would have been a couple of hours earlier.
