The pink granite drinking fountain at the corner bears the very worn inscription "Coronation Well 1902" (see: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coronation_of_King_Edward_VII_and_Queen_Alexandra ). Some thoughtful person has filled the bowl with concrete at some point.
