Drying in the hot September sunshine. It's the last day of September, 2011, and temperatures are predicted to break a few records. This field lies beside the bridleway to Appleton-le-Moors. Straight ahead, behind the trees is Dogcroft Hill, an area of disused quarries, currently being grazed by cattle.
