At Hainault Forest Country Park this collection of water fowl were ever hopeful. Luckily ''Mums and Dads'' and ''Grandparents'' with their ''offspring'' were present with bags of unused or stale bread to replenish food stocks. Why is it small hands always seem to have big pieces to toss towards the eager beaks rather the dainty bits held by their elder stewards?
