The current Foula Primary School which opened in 1992, also doubles as the Community Hall, and caters for pupils up to 12 years old, after which they transfer to the Anderson High School in Lerwick where they reside in hostel accommodation during term times, and return to Foula for school holidays and occasional weekends.
