Crosshaw Beck, Cumbria

Bridleway south of Hebblethwaite Hall Gill

Uploader's Comments

The track (indistinct on the ground) heads for an area of small coal pits in the headwaters of the gill and was probably used to transport coal on horseback. During a grey, overcast evening this was our brief moment in the sun as it blazed forth through a transient hole in the clouds. The vast moorland sprawl of Baugh Fell beyond.
