Looking from the reserve's Riverside Walk on the left (east) bank of the Afon Teifi across the river and a further 2km of bog. The pictured area west of the Teifi is the least disturbed raised bog in the reserve, although the scattered trees can only grow on isolated relatively dry and firm hummocks within the bog because the water table is lower than natural due to peat digging and land drainage in the surrounding land in the past.
