Former railway lines at Cornhill

Uploader's Comments

The track to the left traces the line of the 36 mile long Cornhill to Alnwick railway which was opened in 1887. This single track line was chiefly utilised for transporting goods and freight, although a passenger service continued until 1930. In 1965, following the notorious Beeching cuts, the Cornhill to Alnwick branch was shut down completely.
