Coldingham, coast par. and vil., NE. Berwickshire, 3 miles NW. of Eyemouth and 46 miles SE. of Edinburgh -- par., 24,021 ac., pop. 3173; vil., pop. 572; P.O.; has remains of priory, one of the most ancient monastic establishments of Scotland. Coldinghamshire was the name of an ancient jurisdiction in Berwickshire, apparently ecclesiastical, connected with Coldingham Priory. Coldingham Loch is 1½ mile NE. of vil.
