A steep climb leads up from the bwlch, with Dovey Forest on the left. From the top as it appears here, there is still a further 150m to climb to the summit of Maesglase. (The highest point of Maesglase is in square [[SH8115]], not in [[SH8215]] as one might assume from the Ordnance Survey maps.)
