Chestnut Coppice, Worcestershire

The Red Lion, 70 Castle Road

Uploader's Comments

Currently the Red Lion is closed. It has been on the market for sale for some months. The agent's sign says "All offers considered". Unfortunately in the present climate, the chances of it re-opening as a pub are debateable. There are two large pubs in the village, which appear to be doing reasonably well, but few villages of this size these days can support three. There is also The Cookley Arms, nearby on the A449, which is very much a food orientated pub, as well as the very popular Anchor in Caunsell. But it would be nice to see the Red Lion re-open.
