Castell-mawr, Isle of Anglesey

The Tavern 1924 (2)

Uploader's Comments

Originally this was a cottage, which was built in the 1920's. Later the holiday park, known as St David's Park, was developed near to it. In the 1950's, the building was converted into a bar for residents of the park. Recently much work has been done to transform it into a fully-fledged pub, with restaurants and bars on two floors. The pub is, of course, open to visitors, as well as residents of the holiday park. It is well worth motoring or walking along the long drive through the holiday park, to get to the pub which, overlooking the sea, has some excellent views.
