This photograph shows a view of a section of the A178 road that runs between Hartlepool (behind the photographer) and Seaton Carew (ahead). The picture was taken near Carr House Sands as the road passes through the south-west corner of the grid-square. The viewing direction was south-south-easterly towards Seaton Carew which can just be seen in the distance.
