View into one of several Stanton air raid shelters at RAF Hethel. The Stanton air raid shelter was manufactured by the Stanton Ironworks Co Ltd near Nottingham. The shelters could be built in any length but usually consisted of 18 pre-cast concrete arch-shaped units (each one in two parts). They bolted together to form a standard Air Ministry shelter with room for 50 men.
