With our return route effectively blocked [[5526527]] another route had to be found to get back to our starting point. Surprisingly this field and the one next to it had pedestrian gates so I wonder if at some time this had been planned to be access land. The cattle came and had a look at us from a safe distance and then rushed off up the hill - and stayed there.
