The last day of 2012 saw a westerly gale coinciding with a high spring tide, resulting in some very impressive waves rolling in from the Irish Sea. On the top of the cliff behind the breaking wave are the remains of an iron age promontory fort (not visible in this view). It must have been a very wild, wet and windy place to inhabit!
